Description

Photographs and texts for the preparation of the exhibition L’Écart absolu.

The L’Écart absolu exhibition saw the reappearance of Pierre Molinier, who had been distant from the group for a time. The two Ektachrome images of paintings and the photograph of his studio are certainly interesting documents, which give a fairly good idea of the symbolic force of his work; but it is the postscript to the letter that has given this little dossier a kind of notoriety among art lovers. We leave it to the reader to discover why.[Site André Breton, 2005]
