Description
Published in Poèmes of 1948, an undated, unsigned manuscript by André Breton.
Published in the book Poèmes of 1948, these two texts are based upon ‘primitive’ figures. New Guinea korwars are sculpted wooden objects, much like many of the tikis of New Zealand. The invocation of these native deities is not without its humour, and the reader will note in ‘Korwar’ a few subtle barbs aimed at the morality of action proposed by existentialism.
